Look Incredible Deluxe Box, April 2017.

Look Incredible's deluxe box is the best subscription beauty box I've tried so far and I've discovered a new favourite within April's box!
Th deluxe box costs £35 a month with postage included but they also do a standard box. The standard used to cost £18.99 plus £2.49 postage though I believe the price is going up to £24.99 starting with May's box. The price of the deluxe box is staying the same so there isn't that much between them price wise. Both boxes contain 4 to 6 full size items but the overall value for the deluxe box is higher.

Let's take a look at what was in this month's box!

Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in XOXO (RRP £15)
I am so pleased with this beauty! This is one of the best liquid lipsticks I've tried, the staying power on this is amazing. I got the shade XOXO, which instantly makes me think of Gossip Girl, but the more common shade among subscribers boxes seems to be Delish. XOXO is the perfect red for me, it's a shade I would have chosen myself. I also love the shape of the doe foot applicator as it has a slight curve which makes applying this an absolute breeze.

Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Navy (RRP £12)
I'd previously had this eyeliner in black but passed this on as I have other liquid eyeliners I preferred over it and I don't tend to use eyeliner that much. I'll be keeping this one though as I love the navy colour.

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector Slimlight in Champagne Pop (RRP £24)
What's this?! Are my eyes deceiving me or is that a Becca product in the box?!... That was my exact reaction when I saw this. Disbelief followed by excitement. Unfortunately this slim cream stick doesn't live up to the hype that the powder highlighters have earnt! It swatched nicely on my hand but when I used it on my face, I couldn't even see a difference! I've passed this onto my mum who is gaining quite the makeup collection of her own!

L-R: Tarte XOXO, Eyeko navy eyeliner, Becca Champagne Pop.

Spa Retreats Indulgence Smoothing Body Scrub (RRP £12)
The only gripe I have with these boxes are these repeat offenders. Spa Retreats Indulgence have popped up a lot over the past months and I'm still working my way through a body scrub I got in a different sent at the end of last year. This one though, is rose scented so it's a no straight away from me. Don't like it, buh-bye!

Perricone MD Blue Plasma (RRP £79)
The total value for this month's box is £142 and a big chunk of that is owing to this stuff! For a £79 pricetag, I'm expectating a lot from this but the reviews available online are nothing but good. I'm going to try the suggested patch test first as I can suffer from reactions to some products but if goes well, I'll be adding this into my daily skincare routine. I checked out a few videos online and one mentioned the gross fishy smell. I hadn't thought to have a sniff beforehand but I did after watching that! It contains salmon egg enzyme so it isn't the nicest smell in the whole but it also wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'm thinking about doing a blog post after using this for a while so I can do a proper review.

So that is this month's box. My favourite product is the Tarte Lip Paint, but I'm excited to use the blue plasma. Look Incredible have really stepped up their game this year so I'm excited to see what they have to offer next month.

What do you think to this month's edition?

What I've Been Reading: March 2017.

Since I started doing monthly posts of what I've been reading, I've definitely upped my game. I was getting lazy on the reading front before that but I make it through six or seven books a month... not including the books I don't finish, which I don't include in these posts.

I kicked off March with a corker of a series. The Burn for Burn series by Jenny Han & Siobhan Vivian definitely threw me through a loop. Three girls bond together to help each other get revenge on those who've wronged them. The first book is good but the other two book are amazing with a twist you won't see coming! I definitely recommend this series. I want to check out more books from Siobhan Vivian as I read The List in February and really enjoyed that too.

I then moved on to two books by Courtney Summers. They aren't a series, they're each standalone novels. Some Girls Are left more of an impression on me that Cracked Up To Be but they were both really good. I definitely need to read more by Courtney Summers as I love her writing style. Some Girls are is probably my favourite out of all the books I read in March and the one I'd recommend most, so definitely check it out. There's a slight romance in the book but it centres more on female friendships... It's basically like mean girls magnified.

I found the first book in An Experiment in Terror series by Karina Halle a little slow but that could be because I'm not too into my horror fiction. The book was good, it's not one of the books that I gave up on in March but it wasn't enough for me to want to finish the rest of the series.

I bloody loved Ascenders by C L Gaber, it has a very unique storyline and I finished it pretty quickly and headed onto the second book in the series. The first book is amazing but I couldn't even finish the second. There were too many new characters introduced in one go that I just lost interest. While I didn't love Skypunch, the follow up, Ascenders is definitely worth checking out.

Geek Gear's World Of Wizardry Box, March 2017.

Let's talk about Geek Gear...
Geek Gear is a UK based company that currently offer three different monthly subscription boxes. The Geek Gear box features your popular 'geek' staples such as Star Wars, Marvel and Doctor Who etc while the other two boxes focus on Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts. The normal box includes an array of items and 1 shirt while the wearables box consists of shirts, socks, beanies and a whole host of goodies you can wear to show your magical side. Both boxes allow you to choose a hogwarts house so your box will personalised to your preference.

You can buy any of these boxes as a one off purchase at £24.99 but if you subscribe, the boxes only cost £19.99 per month plus £2.99 shipping. I originally subscribed as I wanted to get a box for one of my friends as a birthday present and kept the subscription going so I could gather some bits and pieces to put towards a present hamper for my nephew at christmas.

As soon as you open the box, you'll be greeted with tissue paper to suit your hogwarts house choice. Mine was Slytherin as you can probably tell!

The box is always packed full of goodies and Geek Gear do a wonderful job of presenting their boxes.

There is almost always a print included in the box. This month it was this lovely snowy Hogwarts scene. I know my nephew likes to put up posters in his bedroom so I'll be passing this onto him.

The shirt this month is black and features the animals of the hogwarts houses in their respective colours. I'll be keeping this myself as I really like it.

Next we have a set of house coasters, something else I'll be keeping. They came in a little Geek Gear tin which was very handy. They have cork on the bottom but the top in cased in metal so they'll be easy to wipe clean.

This sticker pack includes four stickers featuring Harry, Ron, Hermione and Hedwig. The cartoon design is very cute but these are going to my nephew.

I love this elder wand necklace! I'm definitely keeping this to add to my Harry Potter necklaces.

The only Fantastic Beasts item to pop up in this box is this rubber keyring. This will be going straight onto my car keys.

Next we have two pin badges, a Dobby one and a house one, the only thing this month featuring your house choice. A little disappointing to only see one but oh well. I'll be putting these onto a denim jacket I think.

I'll be passing this figure onto my nephew as it isn't my sort of thing but I like what they're trying to do with having exclusive figures.
